Central University of Jharkhand Faculty Dr Shashank Kulkarni Secures Copyright for Scholarly Work on Agricultural Political Frameworks
The faculty of Central University of Jharkhand Dr. Shashank Kulkarni has been granted Copyright Registration by the Copyright Office, Government of India, for his original scholarly work titled "Farmers, Policy, and Power: Understanding Agricultural Political Frameworks." The copyright has been awarded under the provisions of the Copyright Act, 1957, recognizing the originality and intellectual merit of his work.
The copyrighted publication provides an in-depth analysis of agricultural political frameworks, public policy, governance, and the challenges faced by farmers in India. It seeks to contribute to evidence-based policymaking and enrich academic literature on agricultural policy and rural development.
Dr. Kulkarni, an Assistant Professor of Department of Political Science and Public Administration, has been actively engaged in agricultural policy research for several years. During his academic journey, he had the distinguished opportunity to work with the Father of India's Green Revolution, Bharat Ratna Prof. M. S. Swaminathan, whose guidance
significantly enriched his understanding of farmers' issues and agricultural policy.
An accomplished researcher and author, Dr. Kulkarni has authored Twelve books in the fields of public policy, governance, and agricultural development. He has already secured two design patents in the domain of Agricultural Policy and Development, reflecting his commitment to innovation and knowledge creation in this critical sector.
His research primarily focuses on agricultural policy reforms, farmers' welfare, rural governance, and sustainable development, with the objective of bridging academic research and public policymaking. This latest recognition further strengthens the Central University of Jharkhand's growing reputation for promoting high-quality research and intellectual contributions of national importance.

Dr Shashank Kulkarni gets patent on 'Agricultural Guiding AI Device'.
Dr Shashank Kulkarni, assistant professor, litterateur and renowned agricultural policy expert at Central University of Jharkhand, has been granted a design patent by the Patent Office of the Government of India for his innovative research “Agricultural Guiding AI Device”.
Kulkarni is a professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Central University of Jharkhand.They have been doing fundamental research on Indian agriculture and farmer policies for the last 12 years.He has also worked with Bharat Ratna Prof. M. S. Swaminathan for some time.Currently, he is working as National Secretary, Indian Agro Economic Research Centre, New Delhi.
His patent is an artificial intelligence (AI) based tool that will guide farmers in a scientific manner, and is considered to be an extremely important contribution to Indian agricultural policy.

A felicitation ceremony was held at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir at Patratu Thermal.The programme was inaugurated by the principal of the school, Surendra Kumar Pathak, principal of the college, Dr Shashank Kulkarni, and principal of the college, Dr Manoj Sahu, among others.The programme was presided over by CM Mohan Singh.
