Respect for elders of the house has been the strength of India's culture: Dr Shashank Kulkarni (27 April 2025).

A felicitation ceremony was held at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir at Patratu Thermal. The programme was inaugurated by the principal of the school, Surendra Kumar Pathak, principal of the college, Dr Shashank Kulkarni, and principal of the college, Dr Manoj Sahu, among others. The programme was presided over by CM Mohan Singh.

In the role of the programme, Acharya Uday Kumar Mishra said that this felicitation programme shows our reverence and respect towards our elders. That is why every year Vidya Bharati celebrates it in its schools across the country. The chief guest agricultural policy scientist and assistant professor of Jharkhand Central University, Dr Shashank Kulkarni, while addressing all the grandparents present at the event, said that in Indian culture grandparents have always held the highest position in the family.Grandparents and grandparents in our house have a revolving university due to knowledge. We need to understand their importance.

The Indian knowledge tradition is moving from one generation to the next and will go ahead in the future.Such programs are very important in this order.Other schools in the country should also take inspiration from this.In the modern age, though the size of the family is getting smaller, there is a lack of grandparents in the family.Grandparents in the village not only take care of the children but also instill in them rituals. But in cities, it’s even more difficult. There, parents leave the children and go to the caretakers who only take care of the children's food and drink.
